The Caves of Hercules threatened
Classified as a historical monument on 30 December 1950, the Caves of Hercules are in a state of constant degradation. The recent rains in the city of Tangier have led to the multiplication and widening of fissures on their interior and exterior walls. As it has already done for other natural and historical sites such as Villa Harris and the two forests of Perdicaris and Sloukia, the League for the Defence of Consumer Rights has launched an SOS via a press release to draw public attention to the risk of the disappearance of this important monument dating back to 5,000 BC.
