According to data from the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health of Tata, the vaccination coverage rate for children stands at 98% in Tamanart, while that for women of childbearing age has reached 72%, reports the MAP.
Furthermore, the prenatal care coverage rate stood at 68%, the number of births recorded at the Tamanart health establishment reached 71 cases, including 17 difficult births, while no cases of maternal or infant mortality were recorded, according to the same source.
According to the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health of Tata, the constraints suffered by the province concern in particular the deficit in terms of human resources, in particular general practitioners, the lack of equipped ambulances, as well as the absence of means of transport between villages and health establishments. The rural commune of Tamanart, which has a communal health centre, a birthing unit, and a dispensary, has 7,174 inhabitants, of whom 5,137 benefit from fixed medical centres (72%) and 2,034 from a mobile medical unit (28%).
