Rabat – Belgium praised, this Wednesday in Rabat, the Royal Initiative to facilitate access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the process of African Atlantic States.
A joint statement issued following a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Belgian counterpart, Bernard Quintin, stated that “Belgium praised the efforts made by Morocco through the multiple initiatives launched, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to promote peace, stability and socio-economic development in Africa, particularly the Royal Initiative to facilitate access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean and the process of African Atlantic States”.
In this context, Belgium also praised the role played by Morocco as a vital and reliable partner and a key player in promoting regional stability and cooperation.
