"Belgium welcomed the efforts made by Morocco through the numerous initiatives launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to promote peace, stability, and socio-economic development in Africa, in particular the Royal Initiative aimed at facilitating access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean and the Process of African Atlantic States, indicates a joint statement published at the end of a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and his Belgian counterpart, Bernard Quintin.
In this context, Belgium also welcomed the role of Morocco as a vital and reliable partner and as a key player for the strengthening of regional stability and cooperation, the joint statement adds.
