The Directorate, in an "orange" level alert bulletin, explained that snowfall (from 25 to 50 cm) is expected over heights exceeding 1400 metres tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces and prefectures of Ifrane, Khenifra, Sefrou, Al Haouz, Midelt, Boulemane, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Taza, and Guercif, while the same phenomenon (from 05 to 10 cm) will affect the provinces and prefectures of Figuig, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, and Chefchaouen during the same period.
The same source added that snowfall (from 15 to 30 cm) is also expected the day after tomorrow, Friday, in the provinces and prefectures of Boulemane, Khenifra, Sefrou, Ifrane, Midelt, and Azilal, while the same phenomenon (from 05 to 10 cm) will affect the provinces of Jerada, Figuig, and Taourirt.
The bulletin also predicted locally strong thunderstorms (20 - 35 mm) from today, Wednesday, at 6:00 PM until tomorrow, Thursday, at 9:00 AM, in the provinces and prefectures of Tangier, Tetouan, Fahs-Anjra, M'diq-Fnideq, Larache, and Chefchaouen.
It continued that the same phenomenon is expected tomorrow, Thursday, from midnight until 3:00 PM, in the provinces of Taza, Khemisset, Meknes, El Hajeb, Sefrou, Khenifra, Beni Mellal, Moulay Yacoub, and Khouribga.
The Directorate also indicated that locally strong wind gusts (from 75 to 95 km/h) are expected from today, Wednesday, at 7:00 PM until tomorrow, Thursday, at 7:00 AM, in the provinces of Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, and Taza.
It noted that the same phenomenon is expected tomorrow, Thursday, in the provinces of Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Zagora, Midelt, Sefrou, Ifrane, Azilal, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Assa-Zag, Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, and Boulemane.
