Last Monday, a twenty-four-year-old young man ended his life by hanging at the local prison of Mohammedia, we learned from a judicial source. The young man, who lived in the Douar Lalla Regraga, in Aïn Takki, Beni Yakhlef commune, in Mohammedia, was recently arrested for his involvement in a drug trafficking case and possession of a moped without papers, the same source specified. He appeared, during the last hearing, before the correctional chamber at the court of first instance of Mohammedia, for the examination of his case, which was adjourned for deliberation. The court set today, Thursday, to deliver its verdict. However, the accused took his own life before hearing this verdict using a small rope and his trousers. Informed, elements of the judicial police and the scientific police rushed to the scene to begin the appropriate procedure to determine the causes that pushed this desperate man to commit suicide.
