M'hamid El Ghizlane celebrates the nomads

The 12th edition of the International Nomads Festival will be held from 13 to 15 March in M'hamid El Ghizlane (Zagora province), at the initiative of the Nomads of the World Association (ANM), under the theme “Nomads of Africa between regional diversity and common culture: what perspective?”. Several activities are on the programme for this edition, including a demonstration of dromedary racing (Ellaz), a nomad hockey match (Mokhach) and the preparation method for “Mella” sand bread, indicates the ANM, organiser of this annual cultural event. Cultural meetings on “Nomads in Africa and regional development policies”, “The socio-economic challenges of nomads in Africa” and “Medicinal plants” are also planned during this edition, in addition to an exhibition of local craft products.
