His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine, performed the Friday prayer at the Hassan II mosque in Laâyoune. In his sermon, the Imam first stressed that Man must give thanks to God for His infinite blessings, including peace and tranquillity, so as to obtain from the Most High the durability and multiplication of these divine graces, in accordance with the word of God: "If you are grateful, I will certainly increase My blessings for you. But if you are ungrateful, My punishment will be terrible".
There are graces whose true value cannot be appreciated, such as faith, the determination of Muslims, and their resistance to all forms of division, discord, and extremism, explained the Imam, specifying that this can only be achieved through the knowledge of the truth, the refusal of erroneous interpretations of religion, and calls emanating from dishonest people aimed at altering the faith and beliefs of Muslims, in accordance with the Quranic verse: "Allah strengthens the believers with a firm word, in the present life and in the hereafter. While He leads the unjust astray. And Allah does what He wills". As for the determination of Muslims, he continued, it manifests itself in the accomplishment of good deeds without paying the slightest attention to those whose only concern in life is to divert believers from the right path, while unwavering faith finds its foundation in resistance and the fight against base manoeuvres and attempts at sedition by enemies, as was the case for Morocco, which thwarted several plots in its history thanks to the determination of its brave and valiant citizens.
The second aspect of this faith, detailed the Imam, consists in the unwavering mobilisation behind Amir Al Mouminine to face threats against the values of the Nation, which are an integral part of religion, led by security, which constitutes the foundation of life on earth. The Imam observed that the Most High has seen fit to entrust the destinies of the Moroccan nation to the descendant of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, may peace and salvation be upon Him, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve Him, Amir Al Mouminine, who watches, day and night, over the protection of the country and the interests of the citizens, travels to the different regions to launch projects, build mosques, and inquire about the situation of the Ulema and the different layers of society.
He added that His Majesty the King, Amir Al Mouminine, surrounds all the regions of the Kingdom with his high solicitude, in particular the Southern provinces which benefit from countless marks of benevolence from the Sovereign. At the end of his sermon, the Imam implored the Almighty to preserve and grant support and assistance to H.M. the King, Amir Al Mouminine, protector of the nation and religion, and to bless the Sovereign in the persons of H.R.H. Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, H.R.H. Prince Moulay Rachid, and all the members of the illustrious Royal Family. The Imam also raised prayers to the Most High to surround with His holy mercy the late H.M. Hassan II and the late H.M. Mohammed V and to welcome them into His vast paradise among the prophets, saints, and the virtuous.
