Organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 8th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show begins on 13 October with a rich and diverse programme entirely dedicated to the celebration of the horse. On the opening day, about sixty horses belonging to about twenty breeders will compete for the Moroccan Breeders' Cup for Arabian horses. Organised by the Horse Show Association and the Arabian Horse Organisation (AHO), the cup is part of a logic of professionalisation of the breeding sector.
The promotion of the Barb horse, a symbol of the Kingdom's equestrian culture, is illustrated once again this year by the International Barb Horse Championship. Presented on 17 October, this event, in which about sixty horses from North Africa and Europe will take part, is organised by the Horse Show Association, in partnership with the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) and under the aegis of the World Barb Horse Organisation (OMCB). Let us recall that Portugal is the guest of honour of this eighth edition of the Horse Show.
