The eighth edition of the Horse Show promises a great ride

"The Horse: Arts and Crafts" is the theme of this edition, whose programme gives pride of place to national and international competitions, as well as artistic exhibitions.

The city of El Jadida is preparing to host the eighth edition of the Horse Show. From 13 to 18 October, the districts of the new Exhibition Park will welcome enthusiasts and professionals of equestrian heritage, the organisers announced during a press briefing held in Casablanca. This year, the event offers a rich programme that gives pride of place to national and international competitions, as well as artistic exhibitions that are as diverse as they are varied, aimed at promoting the equine sector and preserving equestrian heritage. "The Horse Show continues its momentum by focusing, as usual, on high-level championships and competitions, as well as on outstanding riders and participants.

The goal is none other than to make this event a springboard towards a better restructuring of this sector of activity, as well as a meeting platform for the exchange of expertise aimed at promoting the equine sector, which the organisers intend to strengthen with each edition," explains Dr El Habib Marzak, Commissioner of the Show. With this in mind, the programme includes cultural and scientific conferences, which will highlight the interest that institutional officials and operators attach to the promotion of the horse profession. This edition promises to give a new lease of life to this event, which has earned its stripes over the years. Thus, it opens its doors to Portuguese equestrian history to discover the richness and diversity of this guest of honour. Placed under the theme "The Horse: Arts and Crafts", this eighth edition offers professionals and the general public a rich and varied programme.

The Tbourida, which holds an important place in this show, will see the participation of several "sorba" (troupes) representing the different regions of the Kingdom. This edition will also be marked by several new features such as the pony tournament, the Arab Photographers Union competition and the art competition. Organised by the Horse Show Association and chaired by Prince Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, the Show does not deviate from tradition by organising the regional stand, which represents an exchange space reserved for showcasing the know-how of all the regions of the Kingdom. This space aims to celebrate Morocco's equestrian heritage. "The regional stand is a true invitation to travel at a gallop, through the different regions of the Kingdom, all of which abound with know-how, unique assets and traditions reflecting the richness and diversity of Moroccan heritage," the organisers indicated. To the delight of children, the El Jadida Horse Show provides a space where they can go for pony rides, carriage rides, sculpture and many other fun activities.
