More than 580 beneficiaries of a medical caravan in the commune

More than 580 people benefited from a medical caravan organised recently at Douar Agdal, falling under the rural commune of Bouzmou in the Midelt province, at the initiative of the provincial delegation of health.

Thus, the populations of this remote locality falling under the caidate of Imilchil benefited from various services, including consultations in paediatrics, gynaecology, general medicine, oral and dental diseases, as well as ultrasounds and medical analyses, in particular for diabetes screening, in addition to the distribution of medicines, indicates a statement from the provincial delegation of health received by the MAP.

A medical staff composed of 4 doctors and 4 nurses was mobilised during this caravan, which also reached other douars of the same caidate, according to the same source, which recalls that similar campaigns have been organised in other localities, notably in Anefgou, Tamaloute (Tounfite caidate), and Baknou (Gourrama caidate).

This caravan is part of a programme put in place by the provincial delegation of health of Midelt for the anticipation and prevention of the effects of the cold during the current winter period on the health of the inhabitants of areas suffering from the harshness of the climate at the provincial level.

This programme provides for the organisation of several medical campaigns during this period. The mobile teams of the delegation will travel through the different caidates (Imilchil, Tounfite, Gourama, Boumia, Itzer) and will thus access the douars and the most remote localities of the province.

A basket of fundamental medical services is made available to the targeted populations, notably women and children.

The delegation's staff will also conduct awareness campaigns for the benefit of children and women and prevention against colds and the risks of poisoning due to carbon monoxide and butane gas during heating operations.

According to the delegation's estimates, about 20,000 people among the populations of these concerned areas should benefit from these mobile medical caravans and campaigns.
