Argana is located 81 km north of Agadir and 200 km south of Marrakech.
This rural commune of 5,600 inhabitants is crossed by the Issen wadi. Argana has an exit on the new A7 motorway connecting Marrakech to Agadir since the summer of 2010 and is served by the RN8.
