A municipal councillor from Hay Hassani accused of fraud

A municipal councillor for the Hay Hassani district, in Casablanca, was arrested for his involvement in a fraud case, we learn from a judicial source. According to the same source, the councillor and his accomplice, who was also arrested, have been the subject of a national search notice for eight months. The municipal councillor, who has a "Contract Drafting" office, was in charge of the reimbursement of a cheque for 2 million dirhams that the victim gave him in exchange for, according to the same judicial source, the purchase of a plot of land and an apartment, located respectively in the Errahma and El Oulfa districts. However, the municipal councillor and his accomplice pocketed the money without the victim receiving either the plot of land or the apartment.
