During the visit, members of the Paraguayan delegation, including former Vice-President of the Republic of Paraguay Luis Alberto Castiglioni, and member of the Paraguayan Supreme Court of Justice César Manuel Diesel Junghanns, were able to witness the development and progress achieved in the region at all levels.
“The remarkable development of Dakhla is impressive, thanks to the clairvoyant vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who has bestowed this city a privileged position”, Castiglioni stressed in a statement to the press following a meeting held at the headquarters of the Regional Investment Center.
The Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, he continued, offers favorable conditions for investment, notably with the launch of structuring projects, including the Dakhla Atlantique port, making the region a genuine investment platform.
In this regard, he noted that Morocco and in particular the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, thanks to its strategic location, is a gateway to African markets for Paraguay, which in turn aims to be Morocco's gateway to Latin America and the countries of the Southern Common Market “MERCOSUR”.
Referring to the question of the Kingdom's territorial integrity, Castiglioni, a former foreign minister of Paraguay, stressed that the Sahara has always been Moroccan land, recalling that his country's parliament, with its two chambers, had recently expressed its unequivocal support for Morocco's territorial integrity and sovereignty over its Sahara, urging the Paraguayan government to adopt the same position in all international fora.

On this occasion, the Paraguayan delegation held talks with Vice-Chairman of the Regional Council Moulay Boutal Lembarki, and attended a presentation by an official of the Regional Investment Centre on the mega-projects completed or underway.
