The first batch of new vehicles was handed over to the operators of first-category taxis (grand taxis) in the cities of Sidi Bennour and Zemamra who benefited from the vehicle renewal bonus. This operation benefited about ten taxi drivers.

Its ambition is to encourage professionals to abandon old vehicles and replace them with new ones that respect environmental protection, safety, and passenger comfort standards. This operation, which took place at the prefecture headquarters in the presence of El Mostapha Draiss, Governor of the province of Sidi Bennour, is part of the strategy for the development of the taxi transport sector, in consultation with stakeholders at the level of the Doukkala-Abda region.

It should be remembered that the economic and social affairs division of the province received 17 applications to benefit from the bonus for the renewal of first-category taxi transport vehicles, meeting the conditions established for this purpose.

This operation allows first-category taxi operators to benefit from a bonus of 80,000 DH. It is allocated to each vehicle meeting the required conditions, with the obligation to scrap the old vehicles.
