Saïdia hosts the 16th Oriental Days 2013

These days, whose work ends on Saturday, coincide with the 10th Maghreb Congress of Dentistry which sees the participation of representatives of national bodies and unions from Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, and Morocco. The two events, organized in partnership with the Order of Dentists of Morocco and the National Federation of Dental Unions of Morocco, aim to exchange experiences and expertise and present the latest developments in this field. The president of the professional union of dentists of Oujda, Idriss Belyazid, affirmed, in a statement to the MAP, that these events, which bring together Maghreb specialists, aim to present the latest technologies used in dentistry and offer the opportunity for some 30 exhibitors, who represent medical companies and laboratories, to present the latest equipment and medicines. The participants in these two events will attempt to develop a project for a Maghreb Union of Dentists to consolidate ties between the various bodies representing Maghreb dentists, he added. The president of the National Council of the Order of Dentists of Morocco, Mohamed Jerrar, indicated, for his part, that the 16th Oriental Dental Days take on an exceptional aspect this year because they coincide with the 10th Maghreb Congress of Dentistry, emphasizing that these two events constitute an ideal opportunity to strengthen ties of cooperation between the various professional institutions within the Maghreb countries through the combination of efforts and the exchange of expertise. Several conferences were on the program of these scientific days dealing with the fundamental bases and clinical considerations of orthodontics, attachment-retained prostheses, the effectiveness of oral hygiene products, or occlusodontics in complete dentures.
