The work of the 2025 edition of the "Global Growth Conference" (GGC) started, Tuesday in Rabat, at the initiative of the Amadeus Institute, under the theme "Financing growth, shaping the energy transition."

The inaugural ceremony of this two-day conference, which returns with a new edition after those of 2013 and 2014, sees the participation notably of Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Aminata Touré, High Representative of the President of the Republic of Senegal, Daniel Mukoko Samba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Chakib Alj, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Brahim Fassi Fihri, President of the Amadeus Institute.

With its strategic positioning, the GGC 2025 will bring together more than 600 participants from more than 50 countries, including ministers and senior government officials, leaders of international and regional financial institutions, representatives of the private sector, institutional investors, as well as high-level experts.

This conference, which comes in a global context marked by the rise of protectionism, the intensification of Sino-American trade tensions, and the increasing fragmentation of value chains, aims to initiate an analysis of the new geoeconomic dynamics that are redefining the rules of international trade and influencing the capture of foreign investment.

It is in line with the Amadeus Institute's commitment to promoting sustainable, inclusive, and balanced growth, notably through the strengthening of synergies between public and private actors, and the valorization of the opportunities offered by the African continent, notes the same source.

A true operational platform for dialogue and strategic reflection, the conference will address major themes such as the strategic reconfiguration of value chains and economic sovereignty in a context of trade tensions, and the financing of growth, the creation of sustainable jobs, investment strategies, and the reforms necessary for economic attractiveness.

It is also about the energy transition and prospects for green hydrogen, the development of infrastructure and the sustainable management of water resources, innovation, financial technologies, and digitalization as levers for economic transformation, as well as the promotion of regional cooperation and cross-border investments.

The GGC 2025 will also provide participants with a reinforced system of B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings, as well as digital tools promoting strategic exchanges and the conclusion of structuring partnerships.

The work of the conference will lead to the development and presentation of the Rabat Roadmap on Financing Growth and Energy Transition, a reference document that will contain concrete, pragmatic, and directly mobilizable recommendations for national and international stakeholders.
