Rabat – A partnership agreement was signed on Thursday in Rabat between the General Mutual of Public Administration Personnel (MGPAP) and the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Foundation to facilitate access for MGPAP members to care and hospitalization services in the hospitals under the Foundation.
Signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the MGPAP, Moulay Brahim El Otmani, and the Regional Director of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Foundation in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Younes Chikhaoui, this agreement aims to generalize the application of the national reference pricing (TNR), as well as preferential pricing for certain services such as medical consultations, hospitalization, medical imaging, and paramedical services.
It also provides for the exemption of MGPAP members from any advance payment, the coverage of urgent cases without prior condition, subject to completing the necessary administrative procedures at the end of treatment, and the coordination of efforts to simplify procedures.
The organization of joint medical and awareness campaigns, the strengthening of cooperation in continuing education, and the setting of preferential prices for services intended for MGPAP members are also among the objectives of this agreement.
In a statement to the press, Mr. El Othmani indicated that this agreement is part of the implementation of the Royal project relating to social protection and the generalization of medical coverage, particularly in its component related to strengthening and diversifying the supply of care.
According to him, the governing bodies of the MGPAP are making great efforts to strengthen medical coverage mechanisms, in accordance with the five-year strategic plan (2021-2025), and will contribute all material, logistical, and human resources to improve and diversify the services provided to members.
For his part, Mr. Chikhaoui assured that the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Foundation will work to develop an integrated program aimed at improving reception and care conditions, as part of an initiative with a social and human dimension.
This agreement is part of the MGPAP's opening up to a set of health establishments, in order to provide members and their beneficiaries with high-quality medical services and to improve the supply of care.
