Three draft decrees relating to agriculture adopted

The Government Council, meeting on Thursday in Rabat, adopted three draft decrees relating to the agricultural sector presented by the Ministers of Economy and Finance and of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries.
Three draft decrees relating to agriculture adopted

The first text modifies and completes decree 2-69-313 of July 25, 1969, regulating state actions for the incentive to acquire agricultural equipment, indicated the Minister of Communication, government spokesperson, Mustapha El Khalfi, in a statement read at the end of the Council. This draft decree aims to promote private investment in terms of equipment for the valorisation of agricultural products and to allow the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries to set acceptable subsidies for all equipment and through the development of a single decree including all types of valorisation units, he explained. The second text concerns state aid for the creation of new sugar cane plantations, modifies and completes decree 2-85-891 of December 31, 1985, setting the procedure for the distribution of financial aid granted by the state for the intensification of agricultural production, while the third project concerns decree 2-13-374 relating to the application of law 12-58 on the creation of the National Office for Agricultural Advisory.
