250 experts expected in Ouarzazate in October

The International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference (IRSEC'14) returns for a second edition. Scheduled from 17 to 19 October in Ouarzazate, this large-scale event promises to bring together a panel of national and international speakers to debate the scientific advances made in renewable energy. IRSEC'14 thus aims to be a space for meetings and exchanges of professional and pedagogical experiences between engineers, teachers, and researchers from all four corners of the world. An occasion also to exhibit the most innovative solutions capable of enriching the Moroccan experience, and an opportunity for the establishment of partnerships and collaborations between Moroccan and foreign entities for the conduct of projects dealing with subjects of common interest.

The Mediterranean Space for Technology and Innovation, organiser of this conference, in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (Masen) and the German development cooperation (GIZ) as well as several other national and international institutions, is counting on the participation of approximately 250 specialists from Morocco and abroad. "Such an influx will mobilise several economic actors working in the field of airport services, transport, hotels, catering, and tourism in general. Furthermore, our concern is to make our visitors' stay pleasant and fruitful, which will necessarily have a positive impact on the echo that they will be able to make once back home.

Moreover, the research results presented by internationally renowned experts in the field of renewable energies could also benefit several Moroccan industrial and economic actors," it is highlighted in a press release from the organisers. A scientific reading committee, composed of a hundred researchers, is responsible beforehand for evaluating and selecting the research work that will be presented. Note that the papers accepted during the first edition of IRSEC are indexed in the prestigious SCOPUS database.

Let us note that IRSEC'14 is a conference affiliated with the international organisation IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
