One dead and 17 injured in an accident near Ouarzazate

One person died and 17 others were injured, 6 of them seriously, in a road accident that occurred on Sunday in the rural commune of Tarmikte (Ouarzazate province), according to local authorities. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. on national road no. 9, 14 km from Ouarzazate towards Zagora, when a grand taxi collided head-on with a tourist transport minibus, the same source specifies. The person killed, a 66-year-old man of Moroccan nationality, succumbed to his injuries at the Sidi Hssain Benaceur hospital in Ouarzazate, while 14 of the people injured in this accident are of British nationality, 5 of whom are in critical condition. The injured, who were evacuated to the provincial hospital for the necessary care, received a visit from the governor of the Ouarzazate province who inquired about their state of health and the human and logistical means mobilised to provide them with assistance.
