A centre for abandoned children

A centre for abandoned children

The city of Khouribga was the scene of a significant social action, the first of its kind in the province. Indeed, near the administrative district that houses the provincial hospital, Abdellatif Chadali, Governor of the province, launched the construction and equipment works for a reception centre for abandoned children. According to the work schedule, the centre should be ready in 6 months. Financed by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) at a cost of more than 1 million dirhams, this establishment covers an area of 700 m², of which 400 m² is covered. The project, which is linked to the programme to combat precariousness, will thus take care of some of the province's abandoned children. It will be equipped with 32 beds, a treatment room, a recreation area, a visitor area, a playground, a social assistance unit, an administration office, a kitchen, and sanitary facilities. The project is also supported by the Ministry of Health delegation, which provided the land and will ensure medical supervision, as well as the National Mutual Aid delegation, which will handle the administrative aspect, while the "Innocence" Association will be in charge of managing the centre.
