Errachidia Multidisciplinary Faculty: Temporary staff demand justice

Since 18 April, the premises of the Errachidia Multidisciplinary Faculty have been the scene of a sit-in. Six temporary staff members, holders of bachelor's degrees, have been protesting morning and evening against what they call an "abusive dismissal" by the administration. "Without notice, the former dean showed us the door, at a time when we were expecting the regularisation of our situation," they declared in a statement released on 6 June. In fact, the six people in question, four women and two men, joined the faculty through ANAPEC to work all week, sometimes even outside regulated hours. They were thus integrated into various departments: library, academic affairs, administration... All in self-denial for a modest salary of 1500 dh paid irregularly.
