The players of Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB), winner of the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup, affirmed that this title is the result of diligent collective work.

Upon their arrival on Monday morning at Oujda-Angad airport after winning the Cup against Simba SC (Tanzania), the players expressed their joy and pride for this third historic achievement, the result of the tireless efforts made by all components of the RSB.

In this regard, player Yassine Labhiri stated that the team's components offer this continental title to HM King Mohammed VI and to Moroccan and Berkane supporters, inside and outside the country, expressing his team's determination to maintain a high level of performance and to continue its distinguished achievements at the national and continental levels.

The RSB player noted the need to continue efforts to reach the required level in national and continental competitions, and to represent Morocco in the best possible way.

For his part, goalkeeper Mounir Mohamedi stressed that the club members will capitalise on this achievement and continue to work on developing their capabilities to prepare optimally for upcoming competitions.

Echoing the same sentiment, player Imad Riahi remarked that the path to the title was not easy, affirming that the Oranges made considerable efforts to overcome the difficulties encountered and meet the challenge.

Upon its arrival at Oujda-Angad airport, the Renaissance Sportive de Berkane team was welcomed as heroes by a number of supporters who considered this title a source of pride for the city of Berkane.

Supporters indicated, in similar statements, that RSB fans were there to support the team in achieving this feat, which adds to the team's record, expressing their hope to win other titles in the future.

Renaissance Sportive de Berkane won the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup on Sunday in Zanzibar, holding SIMBA SC to a draw in the final second leg (1-1), after winning the first leg 2-0.

The Moroccan club, already solid in the first leg, confirmed its superiority over the entire double confrontation, thus securing its third continental title after those of 2020 and 2022.
