The coach of RS Berkane, Mouine Chaabani, confirmed that the club will travel to Tanzania next Sunday for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final against Simba SC, with the aim of achieving a positive result and winning the title..
RS Berkane defeated Simba SC 2-0 last Saturday at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, with goals from Mamadou Camara (8th minute) and Oussama El Mellouki (14th minute).
In this context, Chaabani said, "We are capable of upsetting Simba's plans in the second leg and scoring an away goal to secure the title."
The Tunisian coach added during the post-match press conference, "Simba has good players, but their technical capabilities are limited, which is why we relied on high pressure to force them into making mistakes."
He continued, "We started the match with high pressure, but it was difficult to maintain that pace throughout the game," noting that "the strength of RS Berkane lies in its ability to adapt to the opponents' tactics."
Chaabani confirmed that "we will adopt the appropriate plan to bring the cup back to Morocco."
Regarding the health status of the RS Berkane team, the Tunisian coach explained that the injured players, Haitam Manaout and Paul Bassène, will return to training starting Wednesday, expressing his hope that all players will be at their best next Sunday (from MAP)
