Like the seven other Faculties of Sciences and Techniques of the Kingdom, the FST of Al-Hoceima (FSTH), which will be inaugurated during the next academic year, will offer two common core paths: MIP (mathematics, computer science and physics) and BCG (biology, chemistry and geology) preparing for access to bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and engineering diplomas or other national and international competitions. This is the case for the subjects of the LST/BCG branch: general chemistry; algebra/analysis; general geology and biology; physics SVT1; computer science; plant and animal biology, descriptive statistics and probabilities. Likewise for the LST/MIP branch with training in general engineering and analysis, point mechanics, computer operating systems, algebra, electronics, algorithms and programming, optical electromagnetism, numerical methods, probability and statistics. "The Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Al Hoceima is a new structure of the Mohammed I University of Oujda. It is adjacent to the ENSA of Al Hoceima and plans to offer other DUT and engineering cycle training courses that will enrich the educational offer as conditions permit," explained Brahim Hacht, acting dean, to ALM. And to add: "At the FSTH, fundamental and applied research will occupy an important place thanks to the cutting-edge laboratories in the latest technologies that this type of establishment can host". Thanks to its specificities, the FSTH will be authorised to participate in numerous exchange and partnership programmes with other universities, organisations, companies and Moroccan and foreign institutions, for its students, its researchers and its teaching and administrative staff. Furthermore, this new faculty will have as its main mission to consolidate:
-* training in scientific and technical fields adapted to the needs of the region;
-* continuous training for technical staff of surrounding industries;
-* research applied to priority themes with a view to the development of the regional and national economy.
-*
The creation of the FSTH meets an expectation expressed at several levels and consecrates the new choices of decentralisation in the fields of education and training in support of the higher education reform process. It is in this spirit that the Mohammed I University of Oujda created the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Al-Hoceima to train more middle and senior managers who are immediately operational, familiar with the world of work and possessing the skills adapted to the new requirements of the production system. The graduates of the FSTH will also constitute the foundation of self-employment and entrepreneurship. The FSTH will offer complete training paths in all fields of science and engineering through the wide range of diplomas it will issue. By its vocation, it will ensure privileged links with the business world.
