Good performance in Agadir

Tourism activity is holding up in Agadir. Last May, arrivals increased by 6.44% to 83,764 compared to the same month in 2013. But tourist establishments did not fully benefit from this improvement. Overnight stays, in fact, only progressed by 1.18%, reaching 368,199. The main source markets for the destination performed well. At their head, domestic tourism which shows an increase of 8.84% for arrivals and 12.96% for overnight stays. Arrivals from Germany improved by 15.2%, against 3.98% and 8.48% for the French and English markets respectively. Despite the increase in the number of tourists from France, overnight stays did not follow. They even regressed by 3.13%, according to the Agadir Regional Tourism Council.
