Good performance for the Agadir destination. Indeed, during the month of December, arrivals and overnight stays went crescendo. Indeed, tourist activity in Agadir during the month of December 2013 recorded an increase of +15.46% in terms of arrivals and +13.28% in terms of overnight stays in classified hotel establishments compared to the same period in 2012. Behind this rise is the increase experienced by several markets, notably the Polish market with +115.93% in arrivals and +123.41% in overnight stays, German with +47.50% and +22.80%, Italian with +17.59 and +21.66%, Belgian with +14.16 and +16.01%, British with +8.95 and +10.23%, Dutch with +8.35 and +11.90%, Saudi with +6.42 and +7.05%, national with +3.75% in arrivals and French with +6.66% in terms of overnight stays. Furthermore, the destination saw a decline in Russian tourists. This decline is estimated at -62.35% in arrivals and -76.47% in overnight stays. Note that the average length of stay also recorded a decline during the month of December, i.e., 4.60% in 2013 compared to 4.69% in 2012. That said, the average occupancy rate in classified hotels in the city of Agadir during the month of December 2013 recorded an increase of +15.99%, i.e., 47.02% in 2013 compared to 40.54% in 2012. The analysis of the cumulative arrivals and overnight stays recorded in classified hotels in the city of Agadir during the year 2013 compared to 2012 shows an increase of +9.48% in terms of arrivals, i.e., 887,407 visitors received during 2013 compared to 810,559 in 2012. As for overnight stays, they experienced an increase of +10.29%, i.e., 4,504,717 overnight stays for 2013 compared to 4,084,311 in 2012. Furthermore, the distribution of cumulative arrivals and overnight stays during the year 2013 by main markets shows an increase in terms of arrivals and overnight stays in the following markets: Russian with +73.90 and +79.04%, Polish with +28.77 and 42.25%, Italian with +17.87 and +10.54%, British with +17.69 and +15.22%, Dutch with +11.15 and +9.55%, Belgian with +7.87 and +11.96%, Saudi with +5.59 and +2.30% and finally the national with +5.12 and +3.50%. The average occupancy rate in classified hotels in the city of Agadir during the year 2013 also recorded a significant increase of +12.73%, i.e., 54.74% in 2013 compared to 48.56% in 2012.
