Taroudant: The INDH at the service of women and girls in precarious situations

Taroudant – The National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) attaches particular interest to improving the living conditions of women and girls in precarious situations, through support for programs promoting their qualification as well as their employability.

In this sense, the Vocational Qualification Center in Taroudant constitutes a pioneering model in the fight against poverty and precariousness among women and young girls and contributes to promoting their socio-economic empowerment.

Managed by the "Ahli" Association, this structure, which currently welcomes 135 beneficiaries, provides social support to women by offering them training that allows them to access the labor market, thus contributing to the improvement of their living conditions.

These trainings focus in particular on the fields of sewing, culinary arts, aesthetics, and hairdressing, as well as the teaching of languages and computer science, in addition to other parallel activities.

In a statement to the MAP, the president of the "Ahli" Association, Fatima Abou Ouakil, emphasized that the Center offers training in various specialties for the benefit of girls who have dropped out of school, noting that this space allows beneficiaries to access the labor market, improve their economic conditions, and strengthen their contribution to the development dynamic at the local level.

For her part, Naima Driaa, an executive at the Social Action Division in the province of Taroudant, indicated that this Center was realized within the framework of the second phase of the INDH, notably the axis relating to the fight against precariousness.

She added that this structure benefited from a set of vocational training equipment for the benefit of out-of-school girls and boys from the province, for a total cost estimated at 1.3 million dirhams.

In short, the INDH has committed to promoting the empowerment of women and their inclusion in all aspects of human development. This constant commitment has made it possible to improve the socio-economic situation and achieve the financial autonomy of this social category.
