Nearly 11 million DH invested in development projects in Sefrou

The provincial committee of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) of Sefrou approved, on Friday, socio-economic development projects with a budget of around 10.69 million DH.

These projects are part of the transversal programme and those for the fight against poverty in rural areas and precariousness.

In this context, the rural commune of Kandar Sidi Khayar is set to benefit from a budget of 2.29 million DH for the acquisition of three school buses and the allowances allocated to the social animation team.

The commune is also set to benefit, within the framework of the poverty reduction programme, from 597,200 DH for the financing of the project for the construction and equipping of a pumping station and a saguia (irrigation canal) for water collection.

As for the rural commune of Aït Sbaa Lajrouf, it will be endowed with a budget of around 594,152 DH for the realization, in particular, of projects for the supply of drinking water and the development of rural roads.

The committee also allocated a budget of around one million dirhams for the electrification of wells and the construction of a drinking water reservoir for the benefit of 800 inhabitants of the rural commune of Ouled Mekdou.

Projects for the construction of a local sports field and the generalization of electricity supply, as well as the development of roads in the rural commune of Aïn Tamknay, with investments of around 860,000 DH, were also approved by the committee.

The commune of Ighzaren is set to benefit from a budget of 2.73 million DH, notably for the strengthening of the road network and the electrification of Douars, as well as for the acquisition of a school bus.

Within the framework of the programme to fight against precariousness, 2.55 million DH has been allocated by the committee for the equipping of the Mohammed V Hospital and the Moroccan Red Crescent in Sefrou, the purchase of medicines and motorcycles for the benefit of people suffering from kidney failure, as well as for support to centres that manage social centres.

The committee also approved the annual provincial communication and local skills strengthening plans, to which funds of around 336,000 DH have been allocated.
