The celebration of this anniversary reflects the particular interest that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, attaches to the issue of childhood and His permanent desire to give a strong impetus to the action dedicated to the protection of this category of society and to the improvement of its situation.
At the beginning of this ceremony, Her Royal Highness attended a contemporary dance performance entitled "Combat of the ONDE for Children's Rights", performed by young artists who expressed with intensity and emotion the struggles led, for three decades, by the Kingdom in favour of childhood.
Subsequently, HRH Princess Lalla Meryem watched audiovisual capsules highlighting the constant commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, since His accession to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, in favour of the well-being and full social and cultural development of the child, the importance given by the ONDE to the protection and promotion of children's rights, as well as to the preservation of the child's mental health, in addition to the digitalisation of the ONDE, notably the driving role of the Observatory in innovation in the service of child protection.
Furthermore, within the framework of the global project for the digitalisation of the child's health record launched by HRH Princess Lalla Meryem in February 2025, the ONDE announced during this celebration the launch of the first version of the "Child's Health Record" application, an application designed for parents to access all essential information to accompany their children's growth in terms of prevention, nutrition, and psychomotor development with practical advice.
This version with educational content will soon be followed, and in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, by a second one with new features (vaccination history, automatic reminders for vaccinations and consultations), as well as a module for tracking the child's development.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness presided over the signing ceremony of three strategic conventions intended to strengthen inter-institutional coordination, children's participation, and the effective implementation of their rights. These partnership conventions reflect the constant commitment of the Observatory to federate energies around concrete, sustainable actions adapted to contemporary challenges.
The first convention signed with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and the Family, supports the 2025-2027 action plan of the ONDE, focusing on the training of field actors, capacity building, and the promotion of the active participation of child parliamentarians. It was signed by Ms. Naima Ben Yahia, Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and the Family, and Ms. Ghizlane Benjelloun, Vice-President of the National Observatory for Children's Rights.
The second convention, signed with the Ministry of the Interior and the National Coordination of the National Initiative for Human Development, aims to deploy the programmes of the National Dispositif for Child Psycho-Trauma (DNPTE) in rural areas and to integrate mental health into policies targeting the first thousand days of life. It was signed by Mr. Mohamed Dardouri, Wali, in charge of the National Coordination of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), and Ms. Ghizlane Benjelloun.
The third convention, concluded with the Higher Institute of the Judiciary, concerns the integration of mental health into the training paths of magistrates, as well as the joint realisation of studies, research, and publications on children's rights. It was signed by Ms. Ghizlane Benjelloun and Mr. Abdelhanine Touzani, Director General of the Higher Institute of the Judiciary.
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem then presented three honorary Trophies to personalities who have marked the path of the ONDE with their commitment, namely Ms. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance, praised for her constant support for the Observatory, Moulay Ismail Alaoui, former Minister of National Education, distinguished for his services rendered to the noble cause of childhood, and who could not attend for health reasons, and Ms. Amina Ouarid, honoured for her 35 years of commitment and dedication to the service of childhood.
Subsequently, Her Royal Highness posed for a commemorative photo with the children present.
This ceremony, organised within the framework of the 17th edition of the National Congress on Children's Rights, took place in the presence of numerous official personalities, child parliamentarians from all regions of the Kingdom, former members of the Child Parliament, as well as institutional, associative, and international partners mobilised for the cause of childhood.
