By Order of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Wednesday at the Officers' Mess in Rabat, the lunch offered by His Majesty the King, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the creation of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by the General of the Army Corps, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, before reviewing a detachment of the General Headquarters Battalion that rendered honors, indicates a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
His Royal Highness was then greeted by the Head of Government, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of the Administration of National Defence, the General of the Army Corps, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Brigadier General, Chief of the 3rd Bureau of the FAR, the Air Division General, Inspector of the Royal Air Forces, the Rear Admiral, Inspector of the Royal Navy and the Colonel-Major, Deputy Arms Commander of the Rabat-Salé area.
Attending this lunch were the Head of Government, the Presidents of the two Houses of Parliament, Advisors to His Majesty the King, the First President of the Court of Cassation, Delegate President of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power, the King's Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, President of the Public Prosecution, members of the government, presidents of constitutional bodies, members of the Royal Cabinet, senior officers of the General Staff of the FAR, foreign military attachés accredited to Rabat, and other civilian and military personalities.
The 69th anniversary of the creation of the FAR was celebrated at the level of the various Arms Squares, Garrisons, Units and Contingents of the FAR, through ceremonies marked, in particular, by the raising of the colours, the reading of the Order of the Day addressed by His Majesty the King to the members of the Royal Armed Forces, and the presentation of decorations as well as troop parades.
