Meknès: A sexagenarian killed with a knife by her son

Matricide: A man in his forties killed his mother with a knife on Sunday morning at the Douar Ouled Saïd, falling under the rural commune of Eddkhissa, in the province of Meknès, a judicial source has learned. Aged forty-three, the accused attacked his sixty-seven-year-old mother with a knife around 10:30 am. He then headed towards his father, who had the reflex to take refuge in a room and lock the door, thus escaping certain death. Alerted, the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Ouislane rushed to the scene, secured the perimeter, and proceeded to arrest the accused. The man was taken to the gendarmerie headquarters to be subjected to interrogation. As for his mother's body, it was transported to the morgue pending the end of the investigation, which must determine the exact circumstances of the family tragedy.
