The Mohammed VI International Prize for the memorization, recitation, and interpretation of the Holy Quran is awarded for the complete memorization of the Holy Book, observing the rules of recitation (Tajwid) in the style (Riwaya) chosen by the candidate, and the interpretation of the section specified by the Ministry each year. The Mohammed VI International Prize for Quranic Recitation is awarded for the memorization of five Hizbs with proficiency in recitation in the style chosen by the candidate, to encourage the memorization, understanding, and contemplation of the Holy Book.
