The administration of the Tangier 2 local prison stated, in a clarifying statement, that "the suspected cases were isolated and subjected to appropriate tests, and the appropriate treatment protocol was allocated to the cases that were confirmed to be infected among prisoners and staff, in cooperation with the local health authorities."
The statement added that "an optional vaccination operation against measles was carried out for prisoners and staff by medical staff affiliated with the Ministry of Health, and the general health situation within the prison institution is normal and does not give cause for concern."
