A fire broke out on Sunday evening at the Casabarata flea and furniture market, one of the largest in the city of the Strait.

Civil protection elements were mobilised, supported by ground technical means, to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to other shops, in the presence of representatives of local authorities and the police, we learned from an authorised source.

The fire, which started around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, ravaged several flea market shops, and according to the latest elements revealed by the authorities of the Wilaya of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region on Monday, the fire destroyed about 240 shops and caused material damage to three neighbouring houses.
