The kick-off was given last Thursday in Tangier for the first Regional Real Estate and Construction Exhibition (Tanger BAT 2016) by Mohammed Nabil Benabdallah, Minister of Housing and Urban Policy. Organized from 14 to 17 April by the Regional Directorate of Housing and Urban Policy for the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIST) and the Regional Investment Centre (CRI), this first edition is held under the theme "Let's build our region together".
"We are counting on approximately 6,000 visitors for this first edition. The objective is to boost this sector, which is experiencing sustained growth, reflected by a considerable increase in terms of construction investments and materialized in the region by the implementation of large-scale programmes," declared Omar Morro, President of the CCIST.
"A rich and varied programme has been put together for the event: conferences and round tables led by experts and professionals in the sector, 41 exhibitors, including 26 from Tangier," highlights Jamal Agoumi from the Ministry, recalling that Tangier needs an exhibition worthy of a city in full economic expansion.
For his part, the director of the CRI, Omar Chraïbi, indicated that the sector is currently experiencing a regression and needs this trigger to ensure a real recovery.
