Intense preparations for the International Tourism Fair

The city of the Strait is preparing to host the "Tangier Tourism Expo" international tourism fair from 21 to 24 October 2015. This event, which expects the participation of nearly 500 exhibitors representing various countries around the world, benefits from the support of ministerial departments as well as several professional institutions and associations. A press conference is scheduled for Wednesday, 9 September 2015, by the organisers to disclose the programme for this major international event.

Preparations for the "Tangier Tourism Expo 2015" international tourism fair in Morocco, which will take place at the Malabata Congress Palace, are intense and are receiving local support from the Tangier Wilaya, the rural commune of the Strait, and the Tangier-Tetouan region. Among the countries that have already confirmed their participation in this event are several African, European, and especially American countries. The choice of this cosmopolitan and historic city of the Kingdom was not made by chance, the organising company asserts to the newspaper "Le Matin". It adds: "Because Tangier is distinguished not only by its important seaside, cultural, and business assets, but also by its hinterland, which is teeming with beautiful natural sites and archaeological and historical remains."

Given the importance of Tangier Tourism Expo 2015, the organisers are planning a programme rich in activities related to the main objectives of this first fair for the benefit of tourism professionals, in addition to B2B meetings (to develop partnerships between national and international companies), conferences, and meetings with experts. The Mediterranean-Africa Tourism Forum, organised in parallel, will be attended by countries from the Mediterranean rim and other participants. A special gala evening has been planned, as well as a closing concert with a large stage offered to the Tangier public.

Several official delegations (foreign ministers, ambassadors, tourism offices from several countries) have confirmed their participation and have insisted on congratulating the fair's organisers for their work and their good initiative. Another initiative from the organisers is the organisation of "Tangier Exhibitions". "We are looking forward to this great event with impatience, hoping that it will become an annual one, like the Meknes Agriculture Fair," the organisers state.
