Ambassador of Argentina received at the Chamber of Commerce

The Ambassador of Argentina to Morocco, José Gutierrez Maxwell, paid a visit to the Tangier Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIST) where he met Omar Morro, President of the said chamber. This meeting was an opportunity to present cooperation and investment opportunities in various sectors, notably the automotive industry, aeronautics, and logistics. The President of the CCIST presented the cooperation and investment opportunities in Tangier, in particular, and in Morocco, in general. In this regard, he emphasised the attractiveness of Tangier's free zones for investors and developers, particularly the tax advantages and adequate infrastructure, indicating that investors can benefit from various free trade agreements signed by Morocco and the European Union, the United States, Turkey, and Arab countries.

In this regard, it should be noted that the Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion and its Argentine counterpart have signed agreements in the fields of trade, fishing, agriculture, equipment, diplomacy, and sport. Furthermore, the region is endowed with considerable assets, while at the same time being considered an international crossroads of choice for national and international companies. For his part, José Gutierrez Maxwell stressed that this visit is part of his country's objectives aimed at promoting trade between the two countries in various fields. Likewise, he expressed his appreciation for the rapid development that the city of Tangier is experiencing, stressing that the African market has become a promising market, while confirming his desire to build bilateral partnerships with economic actors in the region. The President of the CCIST took the initiative in this direction to propose the organisation of an exchange meeting between delegations of business people from both countries, with the aim of further consolidating trade relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Argentina and giving them new momentum. He also proposed holding a forum in Tangier on the free zones existing in Morocco and Latin America. Proposals that were received with attention by the Ambassador, who committed to setting up a work programme to this effect.
