Operation Marhaba 2014: Record turnout of MREs at the Tanger-Med port
Launched on 5 June, the Marhaba 2014 campaign is taking place under good conditions. This is what the officials of Tanger Med Port Authority (TMPA) have just announced, following the Eid El Fitr holidays. "All the facilities and services deployed by the Tanger-Med port to improve the comfort and conviviality of passengers during their transit have borne fruit," they affirm. Furthermore, the Tanger-Med passenger port has just experienced a record turnout of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) returning to their host countries, during the weekend of 2 to 3 August. The latest statistics communicated indicate that 44,680 passengers and 12,547 vehicles entered the Kingdom via the Tanger-Med port. And since the launch of the Marhaba 2014 operation and until 3 August, the number of travellers who have returned to the Kingdom through the port complex has reached 407,383.
