Like the other academies of the Ministry of National Education (MEN), that of Tangier-Tetouan and Gharb Chrarda Béni Hssen held its session of the Children's Parliament, in the presence of 51 child parliamentarians of both sexes, from these two regions. The session took place in the presence of the director of the National Observatory for Children's Rights, Mustapha Daniel. During this session, the young participants debated the various problems relating to children's rights. Training presentations were presented on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and its protection against violence, the Millennium Development Goals, and mental and psychic health, knowing well that modifications have taken place in the establishment of the Children's Parliament, since the number of its members in its new form is 395 child parliamentarians: 305 members representing the electoral districts according to the electoral division applied at the national level, the other 90 representing the national list. The two days that the session lasted were rich in interventions and fruitful debates from these young parliamentarians, as well as interesting guidance from experts. During the closing ceremony, the director of the Tangier-Tetouan academy, Abdelwahab Ben Ajiba, recalled the importance of holding this session, while congratulating the young parliamentarians who aspire to a better future. For his part, Mustapha Daniel indicated that this meeting is an opportunity to value the recommendations that can improve the indices of tolerance, peace, and mutual aid.
