Tanger Free Zone (TFZ) and the Barcelona Free Zone signed a cooperation and partnership agreement on the sidelines of the LogisMed Exhibition, which took place in Casablanca from 7 to 9 May 2013, aimed at strengthening synergies between the two industrial platforms of Tanger Med and Barcelona. According to a statement from TFZ, this agreement reflects a shared long-term vision and will focus on joint promotional actions allowing for the strengthening of logistical links between the two zones, given their respective backing by the port of Barcelona and the Tanger Med port platform. This agreement also aims to share experiences and best practices between the two free zones in terms of design, management, and operational efficiency for the development of industrial, logistical, and service activity zones.

The Barcelona Free Zone, managed by a Consorci, has more than 12 million square metres of industrial land in various phases of completion. Its main activity is focused on the promotion and development of innovative projects in the real estate, logistics, and technology sectors.
