The city of the Strait wants to rehabilitate its Plaza de Toros, which saw the most famous bullfighters of their era perform, such as Manuel Benítez Pérez, better known to bullfighting enthusiasts as "El Cordobés". A commission has just been created, following a visit to the arena, under the chairmanship of the city's mayor, Fouad El Omari, and at the request of the Observatory for the Protection of the Environment and Historical Heritage of Tangier.
