One person died and 17 others were injured on Sunday evening in a traffic accident on the road to Rabat, according to local authorities.

The accident occurred when a staff transport minibus collided head-on with a light vehicle at the city's Vocational Training Institute, the same source specified, adding that twelve of the injured are in serious condition.

The injured were evacuated urgently to the Mohammed V provincial hospital in Tangier.
