Architects in conclave: Urban mobility under debate
The 1st edition of the Tangier Architecture Days opened on Thursday, with the participation of architects and urban planning experts from about thirty countries, who will discuss the issues related to mobility in urban space.The opening session of this meeting, dedicated to young architects and organised by the Regional Council of the Order of Architects of Tangier, was marked by the screening of a documentary on the problems of mobility within the city of Tangier, a city that has experienced strong urban expansion in recent decades.The speakers during a debate held after this screening stressed the need to place mobility at the centre of any urban policy, by anticipating future needs in terms of transport means and road axes, while taking into consideration the enhancement of the urban fabric and the vital spaces of the city.These Tangier Architecture Days aim to stimulate a debate on…
