«Dakira», the heritage week
"Dakira" was created to celebrate the commemoration of the historic visit on 25 June 1960 by the late H.M. Mohammed V to Fedala (Mohammedia). A visit during which the laying of the 1st stone for the construction of the Samir refinery was carried out and the late H.M. Mohammed V had baptised Mohammedia in place of Fedala. Another stage then began for this young city which has today become a prefecture draining increasingly important economic activities. "Dakira" is organised by the urban commune of Mohammedia with the support of the Ministry of the Interior and the prefecture of Mohammedia. During a press briefing, the organisers stressed the importance of this historic commemoration for which a rich and varied programme of multiple activities has been developed.
