The city relaunches unfinished projects

The urban commune of Mohammedia is playing the transparency card. On Wednesday 6 February, it opened several construction sites to the press. These are projects of a cultural, social, sporting and religious nature. During this guided tour, priority was given to structuring projects and those that have experienced problems and were not completed.

Sports infrastructureIn this context, the president of the urban commune of Mohammedia, Mohamed Mfadel, presented the cycle path project of 2,700 linear metres with a width of 2.50 metres at the level of Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah Boulevard. With a cost of 1.17 MDH, this project, 80% completed, notably includes the paving of sidewalks. It will thus allow residents to walk there and athletes to train. The famous controversial indoor sports hall project will also be settled, according to Mr Mfadel: "the commune has mobilised 8 MDH for the completion of the major works and secondary lots, the rest will be carried out according to the programmed credits". It should be noted that Mohammedia does not have an indoor sports hall. Once this project is completed, local teams will no longer have to travel to Casablanca to train and play championship matches.
