This complex will make it possible to qualify and support the beneficiaries, particularly through support for the marketing of seafood products within a standardised and regulated framework. The Mohammedia complex, the construction of which required a budget of 7.9 million DH, financed by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity with the financial support of the INDH, is part of the new programme adopted by the Foundation for the benefit of this category of beneficiaries, and whose results recorded at the centres already operational in Agadir, M'Diq, and Fnideq have shown their great utility in the social and economic integration of the beneficiaries. This structure is in addition to the sailors' house in Agadir, the Centre for the support of fishermen's families in Fnideq, and the Maritime Training and Qualification and Fishermen's Families Support Centres in M'Diq, which have helped to strengthen the capacities of the beneficiaries through training and technical support, in addition to the social guidance and monitoring that concern all fishermen. Like the reception, training, and support centre for fishermen and fish sellers in Mohammedia, these structures constitute spaces for social support and guidance for fishermen and offer the beneficiaries the opportunity to access health and care services, literacy classes, and to take part in awareness and prevention meetings. They are also suitable places to support and monitor fishermen's families by offering the wives of fishermen the possibility of benefiting from literacy classes and qualifying training in income-generating activities, which reflects the integrated social approach on which these structures are based. It is clear that these centres constitute effective instruments for strengthening the capacities and skills of fishermen, capable of helping them to perfect their work and increase their productivity, and consequently allowing them to increase their income and improve their social situation. It is also certain that the efforts deployed by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in this field will allow this socio-professional category to effectively participate in the process of economic and social development, through participation in the improvement of the maritime fishing sector's performance and the success of the ambitious "Halieutis" plan strategy. The new structures should provide beneficiaries with better marketing of their products and optimal organisation of their activities. This new support and training strategy is also likely to strengthen cohesion between fishermen, notably through better functioning of their activities within a standardised and regulated framework.
