More than 476,000 copies of the Quran distributed in 2011

The Mohammed VI Foundation for the Edition of the Holy Quran distributed a total of 476,800 copies of the Holy Quran in 2011, which were offered to the delegations of the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs and to other organisations and establishments.

According to statistics made public on Tuesday in Mohammedia, during a conference on the characteristics of the Coran Mohammedi Acharif organised by the Foundation, the Greater Casablanca region is at the top of the table with 70,400 copies distributed to the various delegations, i.e. more than 13%, followed by the Oriental region with 49,600 copies (more than 9%).

The other copies were distributed to the various delegations of this department as well as for the benefit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, according to this report which highlights the need to increase the budgetary allocation to cover the needs of all the mosques in the Kingdom, more than 50,000 in total
