It seems that the disagreement between Salaheddine Abou El Ghali and Abderrahim Ben Eddou is still ongoing in the Mediouna commune, after the election and selection of the commune's representative to the "Environment" inter-communal group revealed a conflict behind the scenes.
Mohamed Akrouch, belonging to the Abou El Ghali faction, managed to obtain membership in the group after being elected with 16 votes, surpassing his Istiqlal rival Rachid Boughia, who some sources say was supported by Ben Eddou, who was outside the meeting room and did not attend the session's proceedings.
Some believe that Ben Eddou's support for the Istiqlal candidate was a return of the favour after he supported him in the last legislative elections, and it is also an expression of the ongoing political disagreement with Salah Abou El Ghali, president of the communal council.
